Dear Children’s Choir Families,

The next mass that we sing will be a Monday evening Bilingual mass on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, December 9th at 6:30 PM. The next few weeks are going to fly by and I will be in Mexico next Monday.

Homework

In lieu of rehearsal, I have created a homework activity for your child. They are to successfully complete a square before you sign off on it. Each square has a task with instructions and when applicable denotes how many times that task needs to be done. Children who complete a BINGO (5 in a row) before our rehearsal on December 2nd will receive a prize.

Website Resources

All recordings can be found on the children’s choir website: www.stalice.org/childrens-choir. Your child is being sent home with their music. Please make sure it comes back with them on December 2nd! If it goes missing before they complete a bingo, your can find pdfs of each song on the website under the button marked ‘score/partitura’

Color Coding

The boxes are color coded to denote which mass that piece will be sung at. Everyone will be singing the Immaculate Conception mass on December 9th. And then much of the music will be sung two days later for Our Lady of Guadalupe Vigil mass. All children’s choir members are invited to sing at that mass on December 11th at 11:00 PM, but I understand if your family chooses to opt out of the festivities because of bedtimes.

Thank you for helping your child complete a bingo by reminding them, setting them up with the right device to do the listening, or as you can see joining them in song on a couple of squares. This will help put a dent in all the music we have to learn in a very short span of time.
